Scouting Camp "Rocks and Sea"

General info for YOU

The scouting camp will be organized on the picturesque coast of the Black See not far from Sevastopol. It is the second “Rocks and Sea” camp which this year is open for YOU as an international participant! The event will be a field camp (tents, food cooked on fire, etc.) on the very sea-shore.

What is “Rocks and Sea”?

The camp events will be a combination of territory orienteering, trainings, mountain climbing, competitions, a 12 and 24-hour hike in the mountains, visiting the Foros Orthodox church, swimming, campfires, and having much fun. Ecological actions (cleaning the territory), recreational ativities, and having rest will also be part of the camp programme. YOU will enjoy the beauty of the Southern Crimea, go to excursions to Sevastopol and/or Yalta, and find new friends from all parts of Ukraine. YOU and other scouts will be sharing experience in running scouting events and will get new knowledge, abilities, and skills to implement in the future.

Number of participants

It is planned that around 150 participants will be making their last week of October unforgettable for themselves.

Climatic conditions

The venue of the camp is situated on the territory of the Crimea where one can always enjoy the mild Mediterranean climate with almost no rain possibility. The usual temperature for the time of holding the camp is +15 C at night and +22 C during the day. Certainly, alternations are possibleJ 

How to get to the camp?

The Ukraine YMCA scouts will be meeting YOU in Simferopol. You can get there directly by plane or by train from Kyiv.

Participation fee:

Western Europe – 100 EUR

Eastern Europe – 50 EUR
